HONOLULU — The first full-field event of the PGA Tour will have to wait another day to get started.
The opening round of the Sony Open was washed out Thursday because of heavy overnight rain that left too much water on Waialae Country Club. Some fairways and bunkers were impossible to play.

Tour officials say the first two rounds will be played Friday and Saturday, with 36 holes played Sunday. The cut will be nearest to 60 players, although everyone in the top 70 will get credit for a cut and get paid.
It is important to finish on Sunday. The next PGA Tour event is the Bob Hope Classic, a 90-hole tournament that begins Wednesday.

HONOLULU (AP) – Joseph Bramlett waited for room to open up on the tiny practice range at Waialae Country Club, just like any other PGA Tour player. Typical of most rookies, he felt most comfortable being around players he knew from college and amateur days.
“Every kid like myself grows up wanting to play on the PGA Tour, playing on the biggest stage,” Bramlett said. “This is what I’ve trained for and prepared for my whole life. It’s very exciting for me. I’ve got a lot of opportunities.”
Whatever he gets out of golf, the Stanford graduate already is putting back in before he even turns in a scorecard. In a sport desperate for diversity, he is the first PGA Tour member of black heritage since Tiger Woods turned pro in 1996.

Christmas Day 2010: Most of the stores on Thanksgiving remained open. But to be at contrast the most of stores remained closed on Chrismas day. Normally the stores remain widely closed on 25 December. Many stores kept later hours over the present Chrismas eve. These days of Chrismas season are some of the days through out these days almost the business all over the country remain closed . The Present Chrismas has arrieved on Saturday. Which also solidifies the day off for many.
The stores which remained open on Chrismas eve are Walmart, Target, Kmart, Old Navy and Toys R Us but on the Chrismas day, They will all be closed. But still if someone wishes to go to any store they will have to go to the Walgreens locations across the country because they will remain open as well as many CVS locations will also be open.  NEW DELHI: The sports ministry is open to hiring a coach from overseas for the men's hockey team despite its bitter experience in the past.
Hockey India (HI) has once again approached the International Hockey Federation (FIH) to short-list the candidates from overseas, but the ministry is opposed to a foreign coach if he is not of stature.
