Mark Sanchez 17 Year Old Hook Up Eliza Kruger– New York Jets star quarterback Mark Sanchez is being run over the coals for allegedly hooking up with a Eliza Kruger, a 17-year-old high school girl and very much a minor. But it’s being reported that the 24-year-old football star didn’t know how young his hook-up was. She supposedly lied about her age. So if he didn’t know she was underage. And even though she was 17, is that even a crime?
Not in New York or New Jersey. But it’s the idea of a grown man, a famous grown man, is dating a girl in high school that gives people pause. But should Mark Sanchez be publicly skewered for his alleged entanglement with this high schooler? Especially if he didn’t know. The two reportedly met at a Manhattan nightclub, which probably had an age requirement to get in, so he probably assumed she was older right off the bat. But Deadspin – in their interview with Eliza Kruger said:

Eliza Kruger is now known as the 17-year-old teenage girl who hooked up with Mark Sanchez. Apparently while clubbing in Manhattan, Kruger met Sanchez and the two hit it off. Sanchez (24-years-old) took Kruger back to his Jersey pad and they hooked up. Eliza Kruger is no typical teen, her parents are extremely wealthy and I am willing to bet all of this bad press is not good for them.
You might ask yourself why a 17-year-old (Eliza Kruger) was out clubbing in Manhattan but who cares. Apparently Mark Sanchez has not broken any laws as Kruger is very much legal to hook up with. I am not saying it’s not morally wrong but it is perfectly legal. If Kruger wants to brag via Facebook that she hooked up with the New York Jets star QB then so be it. Her parents should have raised her a little bit better than that to be honest. I won’t be the one to judge though; she had a wonderful time and can now say she landed a star in the NFL.

“You know I’m 17, right?” Eliza recounted of their first conversation.
Mark replied, “Well, we can still talk, but I can’t see you until you’re 18," to which Eliza Kruger helpfully reminded him, “17 is legal in New York.”
They kept in touch and Mark gave her tickets to the Jets vs. Bills game. Later that week, they went on a date and after the date, they hooked up.
Asked if the had relations, she said, “Yeah. We went back to his place in Jersey after dinner. He lives on a golf course. There was a big storm.”
Eliza also said she made sure to research the legality of dating a minor - 17 being the legal age of consent in New York and 16 in New Jersey.
“He’s a really nice guy,” Eliza said. “He’s a genuine person.”
She says he last texted her at 2 a.m. on Jan. 24, after he returned home from Pittsburgh where the Jets lost in the AFC Championship Game.
Being a school night, Eliza Kruger declined.
Kruger has since lawyered up, wary of having her name plastered across the Internet, compared it to to the Ashton Kutcher mistress situation.
“I don’t want that image,” she said.
It might be a bit too late for that.
Sanchez has yet to comment, but Jets did release a statement last week in response, saying: “We are not going to discuss Mark’s private life.”
What is it with Jets QBs? It was during his one year in New York that the Brett Favre-Jenn Sterger scandal took place. Then Sanchez took over.

Rex, for crying out loud, just be Rex!
Why not just admit it? You already talked about it with your players. Just 'fess up, confession is oh so good for the soul this time of year. This is not you, since when did you ever dream you'd call anything a "personal matter?"
